The Hoboken Volunteer Ambulance Corps is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization which provides Hoboken's 911 Emergency Medical Services.
Volunteers Needed
We need volunteers! If you are interested in driving or staffing the ambulance, or volunteering in any other way (administrative, fundraising, mechanic, radio, computer/web, etc.) please give us a call 201.420.2135, stop by our station at 707 Clinton St., or fill out the form below.
Flexible Scheduling
Volunteers must complete a Healthcare Provider CPR course (given regularly at our building) and are expected to complete any four 5-hour shifts of their choice per month, and can begin riding the ambulance during their training (after completion of CPR).
Spring 2004 CPR Clas schedule
These Healthcare Provider CPR classes are designed for those interested in volunteering on the ambulance, but all are invited and encouraged to learn (cost is $65 if you are not a volunteer). Classes are held in our in-house classroom, 707 Clinton St.

EMT Training Available
For those interested in Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification, we will sponsor volunteers through our training fund for an EMT class. The EMT classes typically meet twice a week and occasional Saturdays, Sep-Dec, Jan-May or Jun-Aug.
Please submit your application to us at least 1 month before the EMT class. Upcoming classes:
- CPR at Hoboken Ambulance (required, see above schedule)
- EMT at Meadowlands Hospital, Tue & Thu evenings, starts May 25th 2004
Round-trip transportation to Meadowlands Hospital from Hoboken can normally be arranged for our volunteers.
